Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (FIIT STU)

Slovak University of Technology (STU) is a modern educational and scientific institution. At the same time, it is the largest and oldest technical university in Slovakia. Since its foundation in the year 1937 more than 125.000 students have graduated there. In average, 19.000 students study at the STU every year. At present, STU consists of seven faculties that provide research in a number of research departments and several centres of excellence. Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies (FIIT) covers the area of informatics and information technologies in both research and education. FIIT is the first faculty in Slovakia with such mission. In spite of the fact that FIIT is a new faculty, STU has long-term experiences in the area of IT and has achieved several substantial results in this area.

Bar-Ilan University, Department of Computer Science (BIU)

Bar-Ilan University is a public research university in the city of Ramat Gan in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. Established in 1955, Bar Ilan is Israel’s second-largest academic institution. It has some 33,000 students (including 9,000 students in its affiliated regional colleges) and 1,350 faculty members. Its milestone achievements in the sciences and humanities have made an indelible imprint on the landscape of the nation. The university has 8 faculties, four of which focus on STEM research. They include Medicine, Exact Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Biophysics and Mathematics), Life Sciences and Engineering. These faculties are active partners in national science and technology initiatives. The Department of Computer Science at Bar-Ilan University is one of Israel’s best, and is considered a world leader in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Cyber and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
